Komikon 2011 and NeverHeard WebComics Launch!

Nobiyembre 17. 2011 sa Bayanihan Center Pasig City ginanap ang ika-pitong Komikon(pina-ikling Komiks Konbensiyon). Suki ako ang naturang kaganapan, simula Komikon 2006 wala na akong pinalampas na Komikon. Noong una, attendee lang ako, hanggang sa Komikon 2008 naisipan kong sumali sa Komikon Comics Creation Contest. Doon ko napanalunan ang una kong award sa komiks career ko, nung manalo ang Baboy, tapos ang DogStyle at huli ang MLU (Madramang Lambingan sa Umaga) Ngayong 2011 nanominate ang Komiks ko para sa 3rd Komikon Awards. Maraming Salamat sa nag-nominate sa akin at sa KOmiks ko sa sa Komikon Awards! Pinalad tayong manalo ng "Best Grassroot Award Category". Sobrang nasisiyahan ako sa ating pagkapanalo. Marami ring salamat sa lahat ng bumubuo ng Komikon Committee, kayo ang pasimuno ng isang astig na komiks event!

Sabay sa komikon 2011 ang pag-lunsad ng Never Heard Webcomics namin nila Tepai, Aarron, Wan , Paolo at Kai. Pwede nyong subaybayan ang aming mga komiks sa internet sa website na ito [link] pwede nyo ring i-share sa inyong mga kaibigan at mga kamag-anak. Maganda ito dahil karamihan sa atin ay mahilig mag-online sa internet, so pag may oras kayo pwede nyong ibrowse ang web site at mag-enjoy sa komiks naming hatid.

Mapunta naman tayo sa event mismo, tulad dati, sobrang saya at sobrang daming tao! Hindi talaga ako naniniwalang patay na ang komiks! hindi talaaga, marahil ang nagsabi nun, hindi pa dumalo sa Komikon. Nakakatuwang makita ulit ang aking mga Komiks dabarkads, mga artist at mga pinoy komiks fans, andami ring mga bagong mukha sa indie comics! nakakatuwa talaga. Nakapamili ako ng mga Komiks sa simula at sa bandang katapusan ng event. Andami rin naming nabenta, maraming salamat kila Angel at RD na namakyaw ng komiks ko :D Maraming salamat rin kay Omeng na nagbigay ng astig Tupa Sculpture, congratulations gift! yey!

Hinding hindi ako magsasawang magkomiks, Isa akong Komiks fan simula pagkabata hanggang sa pagtanda. Mabuhay ang Pinoy Komiks!

A Cartoonist is a person who draw pictures and cartoons to amuse, educate and influence people. They may work in many different formats, including gag cartoons, humorous illustrations, editorial cartoons, comic strips, comic books, graphic novels and animation.

Meet mel kristopher casipit a cartoonist from Lingayen Pangasinan, He won the Komikon Comics Creation Contest for 3 consecutive times, his works include Baboy(2008), Dogstyle(2009) and MLU.. he is currently working as a call center representative in Metro Manila,and aside from creating comic books he can also paint and sculpt(sand). He started creating his own comics way back when he was still in high school.

He’s also a member of the Arts Association of the Philippines(AAP)

Eversince he’s still a kid It always his dream of becoming an animator or a comicbook artist. While it’s obvious that he’s already good at what he do, he still perseveres and keeps on practicing his skills in his vacant time to further develop his talent.

*He was first introduced to painting by his college Prof. Robert “pars ” G. Sison in PSU Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus.

“I did most of these sketches at the office when we have high avail time(meaning, there are no calls on que). What I do is bring a piece of coupon bond, divide it into 4 equal parts and do the sketches. I draw anything under the sun, most of the time I do Fan arts of superheroes and animes.
